The Great Misconception of Lobbyists!!!!

Hello Americans. Its Average Schmoe here. And I think we need a lesson in who really holds the power in the United States of America. If you think for a minute its the citizens you are badly and tragically mistaken.

ITS THE PEOPLE AND COMPANIES THAT HOLD THE MAJORITY OF THE MONEY!!!

Thats right guys. The REAL rich people and the companies that control large sums of money control our country.

Now I should not be telling you anything that you did not know. However the reality is that most U.S. citizens believe that the voting constituents hold power over the government. But the powers that decide what our government enacts and does not enact are the lobbying groups.

NOT THE PEOPLE.

If you ask 10 people what are lobbyist you will get 6-9 different answers. Here is the definition according to www.thefreedictionary.com

Noun
1.
lobbyist - someone who is employed to persuade legislators to vote for legislation that favors the lobbyist's employer
persuader, inducer - someone who tries to persuade or induce or lead on

Just so we are clear on this Lobbyist DO NOT WORK FOR THE PEOPLE....(You and I that is) Lobbyist work for a group that wants our government to promote the interests of that special group OVER ALL OTHER INTERESTS!!!!!!!

So we are clear on this citizens there are no lobbyists whos only goal is to do what is right for the average citizen. There are only lobbyists for special interest groups. And what are Special Interest Groups??

Here are some examples of just the categories of Special Interest Groups;

Abortion & Reproduction Aged Population Alcohol, Tobacco & Drugs Animal Rights & WelfareBusiness, Labor & EconomicsChildren Civil Rights Consumer Advocacy Corporate Accountability Criminal Justice Disabled Education Environment (General)Animal Rights & WelfareLand UseWater ResourcesGay, Lesbian, Bisexual, & TransgenderGeneral Liberal & Conservative GroupsGovernment Reform Gun Control Health (General)Abortion & ReproductionAIDS & HIVCancerWomen's HealthHomeless & PoorImmigration International Affairs Media Peace & War Political Parties Public Interest Law Racial & Ethnic GroupsAfrican AmericansArab AmericansAsian AmericansLatinos MultiethnicNative Americans Religion (General)Catholic Christian Jewish Muslim Social Security & MedicareState & Local Government Tax Reform Think Tanks Voting & Elections Women & Men

Each one of these groups spends Millions of Dollars to support there own agenda.

Now heres the question we need to answer for ourselves......

HOW DOES WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU AND I, THE AVERAGE AMERICAN CITIZEN, COMPETE WITH WHAT THE SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS WANT, WHEN WE DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO COMPETE WITH THESE SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS????

Lobbyists only care about there own group. Not us as a whole. Dont believe me??? Then how did the banks get bailled out???? What small business gets money from the government to keep it alive when it fails as a business??? Not one. Yet when some banks failed as a business, they got billions of dollars.

Go ahead and try to get your little restaurant or dry cleaner or whatever small business you own that has been effected by the declining economy bailed out. If you dont have millions to spend on lobbyists your not gonna get a thing.

And If you have millions to spend on lobbyists then how are you really in trouble?????
